MANCHESTER CITY VS ARSENAL: MATCH REVIEW:
Manchester City and Arsenal shared points at Etihad Stadiumas City were held to 1-1 by good Arsenal side.
Arsenal side was looking good in the 1st half as they started the game good with early possession and chances. Joe Hart was forced to make an early save in the 9th minute by Santi Cazorla, but Manchester City gave a good response and soon Vito Mannone was tested by a good shot from Sergio Aguero in the 14th minute of the game. Arsenal showed good possession and passing and had the best chance so far when Gervinho had a terrible first touch from Ramsey’s perfect through ball which Joe Hart easily collected. Podolski saw his effort from the edge of the box goes harmlessly over the target in the 24th minute. Arsenal once again showed some speed in the counter attack and Gervinho’s effort misses to the left of the goal in the 36th minute.
Arsenal had the most of the possession and created most of the chances, but it was City who scored the opener in the 39th minute of the game from the left footed in swinging corner of David Silva which was converted by Julien Lesott’s header as a result of the in decisive goal keeping by Vito Mannone.
City created another threat just after 2 minutes in the 41st when Dzeko’s effort from just outside the box was saved by Vito Mannone and the 1st half ended with City leading by a goal to nil.
Jack Rodwell came in for Scott Sinclair as the half time substitution for Manchester City. City started the 2nd half better than 1st and had some good possession and chances as Yaya Toure was shifted to the central attacking position but Arsenal managed to get a late equalizer from a corner taken by Santi Cazorla but the clearance came straight to Laurent Koscielny who manged to get a good strike on the ball which resulted in the goal in the 82nd min.
The match ended as a 1-1 draw as both teams showed some performance.
