Google Nexus devices with out LTE technology:Smart Google strategy
Nexus products from Google have become very popular as we all know about it but what we don’t know is the strategy of Google behind some of the measures Google take to get maximum benefit out of its latest tablet and smart phones of Nexus brand.Whether you talk about nexus smart phone or the tablet with nexus brand labelled on it you will find one weird thing that what is the wisdom behind not including the LTE option in such a modern specification smart phone.Instead if you look at the Nexus tablet here you will also see that the tablet is equipped with the latest hardware however there are not too many applications for it which is really surprising too.John Lagerling ,Google director of business development in an interview has done a brief discussion about how Google approach to this new series of Nexus
I don’t have a number for how many apps are properly adding those APIs that you need to put fully to use the extra screen real estate. What I can say is that the Nexus 7 has been a super strong catalyst to kick off developers’ attention to making those expansions, so we’ve seen tremendous growth in apps for the larger screen size. The trending is very positive because of the Nexus 7.
But before, I’ll be honest and say, yes, there was a lack of tablet apps that supported bigger screen real estate. But I’ll add that, I know we talked about the Cupertino guys, but obviously people who have smartphones are a huge target for us. If you look globally that’s something we worry more about, not so much about competing with other smartphones, but more about, how can we get more people onto the Internet on mobile phones? And that’s a big deal. That’s why low-cost is so important.
Basically John Lagerling couldn’t come up with any satisfactory point to defend the decision of not including LTE technology in Nexus devices. What John Lagerling was talking about is that Google is really interested in making more and more people interested in their product so they have come up with affordable prices to make their product universally popular.John Lagerling was very confident about its product that their nexus product with very advanced specs will become more famous as the time goes and John Lagerling is hopeful that nexus products will become the top most priority of developers.
I think Google has played a very smart move by introducing Nexus smart phones and tablets at such friendly prices surely it is an alarming sign for the competitors who always look to generate more and more profit margin and revenue as it can sting them hard.
